Murphy's Writers Group

The Murphy's Writers group is a diverse group of writers in many different stages and genres of writing. Periodically, we have public readings, guest speakers and participate in creative writing activities.

Members of the group are given the opportunity to read to their peers, receive positive and helpful feedback. The group meets two times a month on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 3:00 pm.

We welcome a diverse group of individuals to join adventures with literature.

Laptop Learners: Google Drive

Computer class for laptop owners - Learn about Google Drive and its associated applications that allow you to access your documents anywhere you have internet access.

Sign up at Murphy Library or by calling 256-881-5620. Limited number of laptops are available for loan. Please ask during sign-up to reserve. Students without laptops are welcome to sit in on the class.

Laptop Learners: Publisher 1

Computer class for laptop owners - Beginning Microsoft Publisher 2010. Learn how to navigate Microsoft’s desktop publishing program, create a document from a template, use text boxes, basic formatting, and more.
